Before we know it, UME Prep will be but a joyful memory for 23 high school seniors. With only a few months until we walk across the stage, many plans still need to be arranged. A huge step for many UME students is picking a college, deciding what we would like to do with the next years of our lives, and looking at which part of campus we want our dorms on. While we spend our days filling out scholarship applications, housing applications, and financial aid documents the days to graduation fly by.

Have no fear, even with a few short months left it is obvious that the fun has only begun. Now that the hard work has been completed, we can prepare for graduation parties, invitations, and even picking out bed decor for our dorms. Senior Leslie Andrade stated, “It will be nice to see everyone move on and start new journeys.”

Between picking out party decorations and deciding which finger foods to serve, the nerves that once dominated our lives now seem to be nonexistent. As a senior class, we have reached a point where not much is stressful. We have moved past waiting for acceptance letters, and moved on to waiting for collegiate wear so we can show pride for our new homes. It was so stressful to get to this point, but here we are! We have made it.
