New Year’s resolutions. Everybody makes them, but sometimes they don't manage to be fulfilled. Why? We become too discouraged or lazy to finish them. “I always lose motivation and stop caring,” Lindsay Daugherty admitted. Many of us choose the most common New Year’s resolutions to do such as: losing weight, eating healthier, making better choices with money, hitting the gym more often, or simply finding a better job. How many Americans actually accomplish their resolutions in the first month? Research shows that only 58.4 percent of Americans stick to their resolutions the first month. According to “Statistics Brain,” only 44.8 percent of Americans stick to their resolutions for six months.
Through it all, 44 percent of Americans usually do New Year’s resolutions. Statistics show that people in their twenties and up have a percentage of 33.8 that do finish their resolution, according to Statistics Brain. It might be better to start young to accomplish your New Year’s resolution. What's special about resolutions is that they can be what you want them to be. They can range from traveling more to just binge watching whatever you want on whatever T.V. network or app or simply cleaning your room. Then, in about six months’ time, you can look back and see if you accomplished what you wanted.
Resolutions come down to what you want them to be and what you know you can accomplish. I hope this year you finish what you started or start what you have written down.
