As each day passes, high school students face the difficult reality of having to choose a career for themselves. There are so many options: doctors, artists, musicians, teachers, entrepreneurs. The list goes on and on.

The pressure of choosing a career at such an early age often leads young adults to choose a career that they don’t actually love. Perhaps it’s a career that their parents would’ve wanted for them, or a career that they chose more for money than for love of the actual job.

“Most people -- 80% according to Deloitte’s Shift Index survey -- are dissatisfied with their jobs,” says Alyson Shontell from Business Insider. However, “it seems [people are] picking passion over a paycheck every time.”

Young people nowadays opt to be entrepreneurs and business moguls rather than do the conventional jobs of the everyday Americans. Success workshops and business classes are popping up all over the world, and of course, they’re getting filled up with enthusiastic dreamers ready for something more than just settling for this or that.

Choosing a career is really based on the individual needs of the person. Someone might need to choose a career that doesn’t satisfy their needs emotionally, yet it satisfies their needs financially, and vice versa. Just find the career that best fits you.
