Now that 2016 is over, the new year not only presents us the newest work from artists in the music business, but we also get to reminisce on the art from the past.

A gigantic sound wave is hitting the shelves in the upcoming weeks. However, the only thing drowning will be our ears in this flood of new music. Tons of artists are releasing new albums and songs this year that are going to sound amazing.

Artists ranging from Katy Perry, Lecrae, Ed Sheeran, and UME's very own Kainan Seth are gearing up to drop new songs and albums this year.

Reach Records is hitting nothing but homeruns starting this year. Lecrae released a single titled “Blessings (feat. Ty Dolla $ign)," to promote his upcoming album after his label's partnership with Columbia Records. His labelmate, Tedashii, also released a songle called Free. Trip Lee released a Valentines' song titled I Can Wait, and Reach recently signed a young artist from Louisiana named Aha Gazelle. Fans of hip-hop done by Christians are gonna be happy with what they are putting out.

Ed Sheeran released “Castle on a Hill” and “Shape of You” as the lead singles promoting his new album coming later on in March.

Kainan Seth released Peace of Mind (feat. Hannah Jane) on February 10th through his own media group, MaekShift Network, and spoke with us about the song.

“[Peace of Mind] is something I think is needed right now. With all that is going on in the US, a sound and calm atmosphere is what is desired," said Seth.

"This record was Hannah and I portraying that Christ is the only one who can bring us peace, but our pride can get in the way of that. We're all people, so own up to it. We need help. We need a savior, and we thank God for all the good in our lives, espcially when he intervenes, in this record."

Kainan Seth said his company, MaekShift Network, are preparing to release a number of projects soon, but he'll hold back on the music if people "bother him about it in class."

You can purchase and stream the new songs on many popular music platforms like iTunes, Spotify, and Google Play.
