Tattoos Provide Tool

of Expression

“What is that?!” “What does it mean?” “It means love in Chinese.” Why would you get that?” “Why not?”

Why would you get a tattoo? What would you get? Isn't it permanent? Why would you do that to your body? Doesn't it hurt? There are so many questions about tattoos, these are just a few of the main ones. For years people have argued about tattoos. There are many different views on tattoos.

Why would you get a tattoo?- Tattoos are a way for people to express themselves in a different way. People are able to put something that is meaningful to them on themselves. Many people put a cross or a Bible verse to express to remind themselves of their religion. Others put Chinese words such as love because they look pretty. Tattoos are a way of expressing who you are on the inside….on the outside. People also get tattoos to remember a time in their life when something significant happened. Such as the date of their wedding or the date when you were in a major motorcycle accident and you should have died but out of a miracle survived. Everyone's reason for getting a tattoo varies.

When it comes to the pain of getting tattoos everyone has a  different answer. Tattooabout.com says, “Everyone has a different threshold of pain. What one person considers not painful at all could be devastating to another.” Colorlife style compares the pain of getting a tattoo to “scratching a bad sunburn”. However, if you have fear of blood or needles then getting a tattoo will be a struggle.

No matter your reason for getting a tattoo, there will always be people who disagree and think it's “stupid” and “a waste of money.” However, if it is meaningful to you their opinion shouldn't matter.
