Uh oh, forgot to turn in your paper? As the days go by, and we get closer to the end of the year, not turning in homework papers has become a trend.

You’re not the only one if you have turned in your homework late. Matt Fennig, a student at UME, says, “I think it’s because students are lazy, and they don’t care.”

Mr.Trubitt has a more optimistic outlook. He said that there might’ve been some kind of barrier that was in the way. Whatever the reason for these late papers, it’s definitely a problem that needs to be solved.

How can we prevent students from turning in their homework late? From experience, students have said that having a planner has helped them keep track of what is due the next day.

If you’re more of a technological person, there is an app that can come in handy. It is called, “Keep.” With this app you can take pictures of your assignment sheets, notes that the teacher has written on the board and other things that you need as you do your homework or project. You can also create a to-do list which you can share with some your family and other fellow students. Using these techniques, together, let’s get rid of late papers by making an extra effort!
