What Are Your College Expectations?

Written by Leslie

Many can agree with the following statement made by senior, Isaiah Wilson, “Better than high school.” As our first ever graduating class of 2017 head off to college, many question what life will be like in college. Lindsay D. said, “ It's going to be challenging to balance soccer and academics.” Seniors all over the country are going to be going into college with sports scholarships. Many will agree that there are many hours of practice and time put into their desired sports. Lindsay W. says, “My expectation for college is crazy. I can't wait to party every night. Even on weekdays. I’m going to a ton of friends who all party with me. I plan on going to bed at 4am every night and eating ramen noodles for breakfast. College is going to be the bomb.com” To many it will be the life of the party. Seniors are told that the college life is a happy, fun, place where you can party, attend class whenever you want, and a place to make your life- long friends. Is college all what we expect it to be or are there hidden catches?

As all the seniors go off to college, we are hoping to further our education. College will be a place that many will enjoy and make new friends. Brian B. and John W. both agree that they hope college is a place that they can both learn and grow in their studies to better the world. There are many expectations to what college will be like. None are the same, but we are all going for the same thing; to better ourselves and our communities around us. Congratulations to the seniors of 2017!
